Kate and Nachum were married in the fall of 2012 at The Revere Golf Club in Henderson, NV. We are so honored to have captured their special day and create a wedding film highlighting their love story. Kate is part of a local band called Jewish Jammin’, she arranged for them to play music during her ceremony and her reception which was really fun and unique. After editing their video I can’t seem to get the tunes out of my head, lol. Their night ended with a walkway lined with all of their guests, sparklers in hand and minnie mouse ears on Kate , which I just loved! I love when a reception has a grand finally exit with sparklers! It is so fun and magical! I hope you guys enjoy their wedding film as much as I do!
You probably recognize Jason and Amanda as we have photographed them quite a bit, from their engagement session, maternity photos and the latest was newborn portraits of their daughter Chloe. It was time for family portraits a couple of weeks ago and I couldn’t believe how big Chloe had gotten! It seemed like just last month I was at their house for the newborn session and now here she was sitting up on her own, trying to walk and full of smiles. I have to give huge props to my amazing hubby for making her giggle when needed I love a man that can act like a goofball! xoxo Here are a few of the portraits we captured of their growing family! If you would like to check out their other sessions you can seem them by clicking on the name of the session you would like to see: ENGAGEMENTMATERNITYNEWBORN
Shelley and Ryan were married last night at the Silverton Pool, followed by a fabulous wedding reception at the Veil Pavillion full of DIY wedding decor that Shelley made herself. Here is a sneak peak!
We were contacted by Suzy and Terence a few months ago because they wanted to recreate some wedding portraits that were missed by another photographer on their actual wedding day. Suzy wanted some images captured of the two of them getting ready as well as some portraits. We headed to the spa at Ravella where Suzy got her hair and makeup done and then headed to one of their rooms so they could get in their wedding attire. I have to say Ravella made for a beautiful area to get ready. After they were all beautified we headed to some different locations around Lake Las Vegas for their portraits. We had really beautiful evening lighting and ended the night with a colorful Vegas sunset.
Melissa and Rick were married last night inside the Foundation room at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas NV. Melissa looked absolutely stunning in her tea length wedding gown and Rick looked super dapper all dressed up! We are honored to have been there to capture their special day!
Here is a sneak peek!
We are so honored that Ryan and Riza chose us, Moxie Studio as their wedding photographer and wedding cinema team. They were married here in Las Vegas at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Summerlin .I had no idea when we first met them just how amazing their wedding would be but as their day unfolded it just kept getting better and better and of course I ended up crying more and more. The day began at the Monte Carlo penthouse suites which was so beautiful where Riza and the girls were getting ready. Ryan and the guys were in another suite. At the couples pre wedding consultation while Ryan had stepped away for a moment, Riza told us she had something special planned for Ryan on the wedding day. Just as she was going to explain Ryan came back. During the reception the DJ announced Riza wanted to make a special announcement, so she stood up and explained how she was losing her voice but wanted to dedicate a special song to her now husband. When she began singing I was floored, she was amazing! Riza was formerly a singer in the Chaze Band here in Las Vegas that played at many of the top casino’s in town but I had no idea how amazing she was! I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room watching her sing to Ryan, it was one of the most touching moments I have ever seen.
Congratulations to Ryan and Riza!!!
I am super excited to show you guys some of my favorite images from Janice and Mateo’s Engagement session out at Lake Las Vegas. I decided to scout out some new locations around Lake Las Vegas and I think I found some beautiful new areas. It doesn’t feel like they are in Vegas and even when we were out on their photo shoot it didn’t feel like Vegas, it was so tropical and relaxing. The morning light was so stunning and inspirational the way it broke through the leaves. It seemed like everywhere I looked there was another breathtaking scene. I had a blast with these two, they were so easy going and Mateo was awesome at making Janice laugh. I have to say being a photographer is so rewarding, I love being able to create and capture moments with such amazing people. Thank you Janice and Mateo for choosing me to photograph you, it was truly my pleasure!
This is my third portrait session with Talia, Brent, Kylie, Kenna and Blaine. They were getting ready to move and wanted to get one last session in before their big move. We headed out to where their relationship began which was at Lake Las Vegas where they first met.
We are so honored that Ryan and Riza chose us, Moxie Studio as their wedding photographer and wedding cinema team. I had no idea when we first met them just how amazing their wedding would be but as their day unfolded it just kept getting better and better and of course I ended up crying more and more. The day began at the Monte Carlo penthouse suites which was so beautiful where Riza and the girls were getting ready. Ryan and the guys were in another suite.
Everyone anxiously awaited Riza walking down the aisle, her flower girls were adorable peaking around everyone to try and sneak a peak of the beautiful bride making her way towards them! They were married at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Summerlin.
After the ceremony we all jumped into their party bus and headed down to Fremont Street to do photos before the reception.
Their wedding reception was at the Monte Carlo ballrooms, with 250 guest cheering as they made their grand entrance.
I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room watching her sing to Ryan, it was one of the most touching moments I have ever seen. I can’t wait for the completion of their wedding video to share it with you all.
Justin and Susan had such a fabulous wedding day, there are so many moments that touched me and made me giggle as I was editing through their photos reliving those memories. They were married at the beautiful Rio Secco in Henderson and it was the perfect setting. The location was high up on this plateau overlooking the valley. It was gorgeous during the day but at night it was magical with all the twinkling stars and Vegas skyline.
This is one of those stories that I’m sure they will be sharing for years to come and hopefully laughing about. The winds were really strong during the wedding ceremony and about mid ceremony Susan’s veil lifted straight up and out of her hair!
While we were taking their portraits Jamison noticed the moon and how mystical it looked, so we went for some dramatic lighting to catch the ambiance it was creating.
Rosanna and Darrell were married at the beautiful Angel park Gold Course here in Las Vegas. They began their day at the JW Marriott to get ready and did a “first look” . We all had such a great time at their wedding. Between the rick rolling, their hilarious family and friends and the love that was just beaming from the two of them it was a perfect day! Here is their wedding video highlight film we have put together.
Some things we think you should consider when you are booking your wedding cinematographer or videographer. Make sure you have an opportunity to speak with the cinematographer that will be filming your wedding day, it is important that you get along and have a clear understanding of everything you can expect.
Ask to see examples of his or her work and make sure you love what they do! When visiting different companies be sure to ask specifically who shot the video and who edited it. Sometime’s companies show work from a prior employee who no longer works for them and don’t have the means to create the same caliber of work, be sure the work you see and who did the work is who you are going to get!
Find out the style of wedding videos that you like, do you like something very traditional, do you like documentary style with interviews and voice overs? How about the artsy cinematic style? We are a combination of documentary meets artsy cinematic.
You also want to find out if the studio you are using edits their own work, this is very important as they will have insight to your personalities and all the details of your day that made it so special. When it comes to editing you also want to find out approximately how long the finished video will be. Some people think that if you have your cinematographer there for 7 hours you will have 7 hours of video, that is not the case. In fact the finished video depends on the activities of your day and how long your ceremony is.
Do they offer a highlight video? Is that all you receive or do you receive a completely edited DVD as well? We create a highlight video that will be posted online for you to share with your family and friends as well as a completely edited DVD of all the events of your day. The DVD will have a menu with chapters so you can easily skip to different events that happened throughout your wedding day. The ceremony will be in it’s full not just bits and pieces. Will you be able to select the songs that are used for your wedding video? You bet! We always ask that you choose 5 or 6 songs that we will then edit different sections of your wedding day to.
Tess and Nathan were married last month at the Misora at the Platinum hotel in Las Vegas NV. If you have never been there or heard of it check it out, it is a really unique alternative option to the traditional wedding location. It was so beautiful overlooking the Las Vegas Strip but had a really cool, hip vibe being up on the rooftop. It was a perfect fit for Tess and Nathan!
During the hustle and bustle of everyone getting their hair and makeup done I stepped into where Tess’ dress was and found Nathan’s daughter admiring her dress and holding it up next to Tess’ wedding gown. She was so cute!
Tess’ shoes were AMAZING! I have to admit I have a thing for shoes, lol, but c’mon what girl doesn’t. Tess took the time to bling her shoes out and they looked stunning!!!
Nathan is such a romantic as their officiant began their ring exchange he was handed the rings. When Tess saw the rings she was rather confused and stated that it was not her ring, everyone around began to giggle, Tess still confused and convinced this was not her ring stated a few more times, this was not her ring. Nathan with a huge smile on his face said no this IS your ring, then you see the happy shock on Tess’ face because the diamond was so big! It was seriously one of those moments that still makes me tear up.
Their first dance was such a romantic setting outside overlooking Vegas. The lights were beautiful and twinkling all around them.
They also shared a special Father Daughter dance between Tess and her Father and Nathan and his daughter, it was again such a sweet moment.
Congratulation Tess and Nathan! We have loved being able to photograph the two of you and share in so many special moments!
If you would like to see more of Tess and Nathan, check out their awesome vintage themed engagement session here!

I first spoke with Jessica and Chris at the Beautiful Bride Expo when I recognized Jessica, but for the life of me I could not figure out where I knew her from. She thought for a few minutes and looked through our albums when she realized that some of the prints that were displayed at the booth were ones she had printed at her lab. Las Vegas can be such a small world! Turned out she was admiring my photography when she was printing it! Shortly after they reserved their wedding photography with us and we scheduled their engagement photography session. They wanted to do something different that not everyone else had done which I was totally game for. We headed over to the Clark County Heritage Museum in Henderson NV for their photos. We had some fun with all the vintage decor and props which fits in perfectly to their vintage hollywood glam themed wedding this winter.
I LOVE Jessica’s eyes! They are so haunting don’t ya think?

Rosanna and Darrell introduced us to something we have never heard of. From the time I met with them to discuss photography and video options I had asked if there was anything they were in to, to try and find some inspiration for their engagement session. Darrell pulled out of his hat Rickrolling, of course I was completely clueless and had no idea what they were talking about. So while chatting in Starbucks he looked up some videos to show me. The couple and their friends are pretty into it. So without further ado Moxie Studio presents to you, Rosanna, Darrell and their Wedding Party with a super special treat!
We are still working on their complete wedding video highlight but wanted to share this in the meantime

Angel and Courtney were married last week at the Mandalay Bay and while staying here in Las Vegas for their honeymoon wanted to do a Trash The Dress photo Session with me. So we packed up the gear and headed out to the Dry Lake Bed for what turned out to be an AMAZING shoot and sunset! Courtney’s eyes are so amazing, don’t you think? Here are a few of my absolute favorite photos!
Darrell and Rosanna started out their wedding day at the JW Marriott where they were both busy getting ready for their big day.
They decided to do a first look before they headed over to the wedding ceremony at Angel Park, so we found a private area
where they would get to see each other for the first time on their wedding day! First looks are always such a beautiful moment,
we bring the groom someplace and have him wait with his back turned to the bride until she walks up and taps him on the shoulder.
It is always instant shock and awe when the groom turns around and it was no different with Darrell. These guys were so cute
when they saw each other! At the end of it all we all heard cheering and teasing and who was looking on
from inside the hotel but their wedding party.
If you have never considered doing a first look I encourage you to check out this blog about them, she explains it so much better then me, lol.
Next we headed over to the beautiful Angel Park for their ceremony taking place right around sunset. It was such a beautiful setting with the sound of the waterfall behind them.
We had the honor of shooting Justin and Susan’s photography and cinema at their beautiful sunset wedding at the Rio Secco Golf Club in Henderson, NV yesterday! I have to say that Susan was absolutely stunning and the evening was magical overlooking the Las Vegas Valley.
You really could just feel the love between them and all their family and friends. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your day!
Here is a sneak peek of their amazing day! Congratulations!
We had the pleasure of capturing Darrell and Rosanna’s wedding day at the JW Marriott and Angel Park Golf Club last weekend and I just wanted to share a sneak peek with you guys! Stay tuned for the full blog post with many more of their photos as well as their wedding video film!
I met Corbyn’s parents Chris and Kaley last year when I took some maternity photos for them out at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park.
You can see the images from their sessionHERE. I was so excited to finally meet little Corbyn, I had seen her photos nearly everyday
on facebook and new she would be a bundle of joy to photograph. We headed out to a park nearby at sunset and got these magical shots.
I’m pretty sure everyone at the park and driving by thought we were all complete weirdos due to the random noises we were all making,
but hey, whatever makes them smile. Here are a few of my favorites photos from her session! Enjoy!!!
Corbyn and her daddy dancing at the park, so sweet. I could not help but think that one day he would be dancing with her on her wedding day. Corbyn with her mommy in a sweet moment.
Carlos and Jennifer attended the Las Vegas Bride Expo and won a free engagement photo shoot from us.
I was thrilled when she called and told me the theme of her wedding which is summer days and starry nights. Immediately I thought of an image I had seen before by another Las Vegas Photographer and thought I would
love to create something similar. So we headed out to the dry lake bed for their engagement photo shoot.
We were a little short on daylight as poor Jenn and Carlos’ car broke down on their way out to the shoot
Luckily they made it just before the sunset and we made those 10 minutes count! But the night sky and stars
were amazing once the sun was down.
I can’t remember the last time I saw such a beautiful sky! Living in vegas we don’t get to see the stars much so this was a real treat for us. Seriously people if you need a romantic relaxing night away from Vegas, go to the lake bed set up some blankets and just look at the stars! They are so bright out there!
Just wanted to share a couple of Rosanna and Darrell’s engagement photos that were taken down near city center this weekend. Stay tuned for the full blog post!
This year was a big birthday for me. The BIG 30, which I thought, I was ready for until my last day being in my twenties hit me, lol. I know it is silly but at first glance my turning 30 was devastating, why who knows…Then I started to really think about how much I have accomplished in my 30 years, where I am in my life and realized how lucky I am. So I thought this blog post instead of being all about the photographs I take, I would share a little about myself, with a side of photos.
I would never had imagined how my life would be at this age, I’m not sure I ever really thought too much about it to be honest. I just lived day to day, went to work, paid the bills, and ignored my dreams until finally the opportunity came for me to pursue my dreams. For my husband and I to join creative forces and do what we love and do best and make a living at it, this is when Moxie Studio came to. This past year growing our business has been a constant effort and I am so thankful for all of you that have spread the word about Moxie Studio. You all are making my dreams come true each and every day and every time you recommend us to your family and friends for their photography and video needs. Together with all of my clients we have created some awesome memories being part of your weddings, family portraits, headshots and commercials. It is so rewarding being able to see how all of your lives have blossomed and businesses have grown.
I am so thankful that at this age I can truly say that I do what I love for a living. I have a wonderful husband of nearly 11 years, 3 amazing Alaskan Malamutes, Zoe, Sundance and Koda, and two crazy cats, Morticia and Orion To celebrate the big birthday we headed up to Duck Creek for a cabin retreat for the weekend. We always try to take the dogs up to the snow at least once a year to play and so we can have a little downtime. We both love the outdoors and anytime we can get away we take the opportunity. It was a perfect getaway, cozy cabin, my hubby, dogs and lots of fun in the snow.
The dogs waiting to go outside and play in the snow!
Beautiful Koda on the porch enjoying the cold weather.
Zoe up in the window spying on the world and Koda all tuckered out.
Kacy was part of a group bridal photo shoot I participated in last month. We had three brides to play around and experiment with. We were going for a rock n roll bride. Originally we were going to go set the session up out at the dry lake bed however we got rained out so we ended up in D. Tyler’s photo studio and in the alleyway behind his studio. We had an amazing sunset for the photos and I think the images turned out pretty awesome despite the change in of location. Kacy’s makeup was done by Megan Payne of Makeup in the 702 who really got the look that we were going for. The session started out much sweeter and then we moved on to the more edgy grunge look.
Have you considered doing your own bridal session? We offer photography and video/cinema bridal sessions. The photos are often displayed at your wedding reception. It is such a fun way to show off your photos! For our video/cinema package we create a one of a kind video that highlights you and all your beauty. This is a great treat to show your guests at your wedding reception as well. The other bonus to this is that it is a test run for your hair, makeup and accessories. Most brides go in for a trial run on your hair and makeup so why not get photographed at the same time!
I met Frank and May at the Beautiful Bride Expo in Las Vegas this past January. When they emailed to book their engagement photography session I was thrilled and knew we would be in for a fun session. These guys made being a photographer too easy, they were so natural in front of the camera and together. Frank is a true romantic in every way and it just pours out of him when he is with May. I love to hear proposal stories so I had to find out how this romantic proposed to his lovely fiance’ and I was not disappointed He whisked her away to Catalina Island where they had a magical day together and then he asked May how her day was so far and she said perfect, then he said well lets make it even better and asked for her hand in marriage! So sweet!
For their session we headed to the Neon Boneyard Museum which is always a treat! Love, love, love this place! It is so cool to see all the vintage signs and history of Vegas.
Afterwards we finished up their engagement session down around Fremont Street.
This story behind this shot. We stepped into the dark alleyway to do a few photos when Frank and May saw the 111, this seems to be a theme with them! They said everywhere they go they always end up with the number 1 or 11 or 111 etc, how funny! I swear I don’t remember ever seeing this address next to this spot and I take photos here often. Sometimes I think things are just meant to be and on this day I believe Frank and May were meant to be photographed by me at these locations.
Your probably thinking, why on earth would you pose them at a bus stop poster right? Well this is actually a safe driving advertisement that I did the photography for I was so excited to see it that they asked for a photo with it Remember look both ways before crossing the street and stop for pedestrians in crosswalks!
