{Jayson + Anna} Las Vegas NV Wedding Reception at Wildhorse

Jayson and Anna’s wedding reception was held at the Wildhorse Country Club in Henderson, NV.  We love to capture you and your guests best dance moves and this video highlight’s them all :)

Styled Bridal Session // Las Vegas NV Wedding Photographer

Yesterday I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to photograph the beautiful Shali Torres of Hair and Makeup by Shali .  You guys may recognize Shali as she is a past bride of ours.  She was married last September at Griffin Mansions in Las Vegas and she chose our cinematographers to capture her amazing wedding!  I was also able to create a Trash The Dress film starring her and her husband that we shot out at Red Springs.

A group of Las Vegas photographers wanted to put together a fun themed session and we were in need of models and Shali was so much fun to work with before that I knew she would be a perfect fit for our styled photo session.  Originally the session was going to be held out at a dry lake bed near Las Vegas however a storm put a damper on our plans so we had to move it to D-Tyler’s studio. It still turned out awesome though just to prove we can make the most out of any location.  We shot a few inside of the studio however I was in love with the lighting outside so that is where the majority of the photos were taken.   We were able to take advantage of some amazing light just outside of the studio in an alleyway which worked perfect for the motorcycle shots.

Shali is a makeup artist and hairstylist here in Las Vegas so when it came to her session she knew exactly how she wanted to glamify herself { I like to make words up =) }.  I think she did an amazing job.  It is so important to have a great makeup artist for your photo shoot and wedding day.  I have a few that I highly recommend, checkout my recommended vendors to see my favorites!

We were also in for a treat when one of the photographers arranged for a motorcycle for the session!  Sweet!  It is always fun to do something a little different and outside of the box so a motorcycle and alleyway were a perfect fit.

Have you considered doing your own bridal session?  We offer photography and cinema bridal sessions.  The photos are often displayed at your wedding reception.  It is such a fun way to show off your photos!  For our cinema package we create a one of a kind film that highlights you and all your beauty.  This is a great treat to show your guests at your wedding reception as well.  The other bonus to this is that it is a test run for your hair, makeup and accessories.   Most brides go in for a trial run on your hair and makeup so why not get photographed at the same time!

We did head inside for a few shots in the studio.  I love that Shali had her red heels and we had use of the red chair.  I think it looks modern meets vintage wedding pinup.  She looks so elegant, don’t you think?

Give us a call today to book your bridal session!  702-527-0258 or email us at info@gomoxiestudio.com

Las Vegas NV Wedding Videography and Cinematography // Jayson and Anna’s Highlight

We had the pleasure of capturing Jayson and Anna’s Wedding day. Jayson and Anna were married at St John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Las Vegas Nevada. Their celebration was held at Wildhorse Country Club. It was our honor and pleasure to put this together for this amazing couple!  Jason serves in our military and is stationed in Italy it was awesome to see these guys reunited after being separated for so long!  A few days after their wedding Anna was able to move over to Italy with him to start their life together.  Congratulations guys and thank you for choosing Moxie Studio for your wedding cinematography needs!

Some things we think you should consider when you are booking your wedding cinematographer or videographer. Make sure you have an opportunity to speak with the cinematographer that will be filming your wedding day, it is important that you get along and have a clear understanding of everything you can expect.

Ask to see examples of his or her work and make sure you love what they do! When visiting different companies be sure to ask specifically who shot the video and who edited it. Sometime’s companies show work from a prior employee who no longer works for them and don’t have the means to create the same caliber of work, be sure the work you see and who did the work is who you are going to get!

Find out the style of wedding videos that you like, do you like something very traditional, do you like documentary style with interviews and voice overs? How about the artsy cinematic style? We are a combination of documentary meets artsy cinematic.

You also want to find out if the studio you are using edits their own work, this is very important as they will have insight to your personalities and all the details of your day that made it so special. When it comes to editing you also want to find out approximately how long the finished video will be. Some people think that if you have your cinematographer there for 7 hours you will have 7 hours of video, that is not the case. In fact the finished video depends on the activities of your day and how long your ceremony is.

Do they offer a highlight video? Is that all you receive or do you receive a completely edited DVD as well? We create a highlight video that will be posted online for you to share with your family and friends as well as a completely edited DVD of all the events of your day. The DVD will have a menu with chapters so you can easily skip to different events that happened throughout your wedding day. The ceremony will be in it’s full not just bits and pieces. Will you be able to select the songs that are used for your wedding video? You bet! We always ask that you choose 5 or 6 songs that we will then edit different sections of your wedding day to.

Las Vegas NV Portrait Photographer ~ Jessica’s Vintage Session

Jessica is pursuing an acting and modeling career and came to me wanting to do a vintage shoot out at the
Clark County Heritage Museum.  This is Jessica’s second photo shoot with me and we already have
plans for the next!  She is always a blast and full of fun ideas :)

The museum has this awesome old train station fully loaded with lots of luggage so we headed inside for a few shots.

Next we headed outside to play in the sun. I always love to get some sun flare photos.

Las Vegas nv Engagement Photographer ~ Tess and Nathan ~ Vintage

We had such an awesome time with Tess and Nathan for their engagement session.  Nathan has a sweet old rat rod that he drove down to Fremont Street for the shoot.  It was perfect had so much fun to do something with a car.  We were visited by nearly everyone that drove by because they wanted to see the car.  We even had the police stop by to check out the photo shoot.

We also had to get the kids in on a couple of photos!  They were so cooperative and made my job so easy.  Such a beautiful family!  I love this family photo!

Next we headed over to the El Cortez Cabana Suites lobby which was a really cool location.  So glad Tess thought of it.  It worked out perfect!

Our last stop was the Neon Boneyard, we had perfect lighting and these two just can’t take a bad photo!

I can’t wait until their upcoming wedding.  This engagement session helped us to get to know them so well and it will make the wedding day photography that much easier.  If you have not considered doing engagement photos, you really should.  It is such a great opportunity to build a relationship with your photographer  and cinematographer and become familiar with how things work on a photo shoot.  Thank you to Tess and Nathan for an amazing photo shoot!!!

UNLV Graduate ~ Brittney ~

I had the pleasure of photographing Brittney after her very dear friend Ashley surprised her and booked a session for her.  Both girls have been best friends for many years and are now graduating from UNLV and moving on to the next college together and this was a great way to capture some photos of the two of them together, with Brittney’s mom and some of the very charismatic Brittney. Congratulations Brittney and Ashley!!! Here are some of my favorites!

Las Vegas Family Photos ~Karen, Triny and Marco ~ Clark County Heritage Museum

We met up with Karen, Treeny and Marco aka “Mini Coop” this past weekend for their family photos.  We headed out to the Clark County Heritage Museum and then to a near by park to get some images with their dogs too.  Marco was super shy so I decided it was time for a game of peek a boo around the tree’s which helped him to relax more.  I am a pretty relaxed person so when kids aren’t the happiest or not exactly doing what we all wish they would do, I make lemonade out of lemons and just go with it.  I find that if you try and force kids to sit and pose and they are not the posing type it equals tears, grumpy faces and stressed out parents and no one wants that.  The fall leaves and my awesome assistant were key to lighting up Marco’s smiling face, he loved having the leaves tossed up over him and just playing in them.  Here are just a few of my favorites!

Las Vegas Trash The Dress Session ~ Anthony and Allyson ~ Calico Basin

Anthony and Allyson were married last month on 11.11.11 at the beautiful Mandalay Bay.  I was lucky enough to photograph their wedding celebration and now their Trash The Dress Session.  These really are my favorites, everyone gets to play dress up, we go to an awesome location and get some very artistic images!  Allyson was stunning and Anthony was very dapper in his suit.  They were such good sports, it was pretty chilly outside.
Here are some of my favorite images from the photo session!

Las Vegas Family Photography ~ M Family ~ Floyd Lamb Park

I had the pleasure earlier in the year of photographing Russ and his fiance’s engagement photos
so I was thrilled when his mom called and asked for family portraits.  It is always a great time
to get family photos before the “unit” splits off in new directions, as Russ will be getting married soon.
The leaves were still in full fall colors for their session at Floyd Lamb Park and it was the perfect fit
for this family. Thank you Chandi, Damon, Russ and Jen for choosing Moxie Studio
for your family photos!  I had a blast with you guys!

Las Vegas Trash The Dress Session Film ~ Michael and Carina ~ Spring Mountain Ranch

We had the pleasure of capturing Michael and Carina’s wedding day at Angel Park Golf Club.
They also decided to do a Trash the Dress Session up at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park
the day after their wedding.  Michael and Carina are so awesome and great sports.
Originally Carina did not want to get her dress dirty but she decided why not?
So we made the most of a gorgeous stormy day in Vegas and managed only to get her dress
slightly dirty.  I know many people think Trash the Dress means we are literally going to trash the dress
but that’s not how we do it.  Its a session where you can get some truly artistic shots in an
unusual location that you would not normally see a bride and groom in.
They really are some of my favorite sessions!  This is the film we put together for them.
We would love to hear what you guys think!

Las Vegas Wedding Cinematography // Michael and Carina // Angel park Golf Course

I just wanted to share Michael and Carina’s CineArt Wedding Film Highlight. They were married at the beautiful Angel Park Golf Club in Las Vegas Nevada in October 2011.  They had an amazing DJ which was D Jays Entertainment, beautiful floral from Flowers by Michelle and of course the photography and cinema was done by us Moxie Studio. We had such a great time capturing their day.  The girls were all such good sports and went along with my fun and funky poses.  The guys totally rocked it out and did the always cool Reservoir Dogs shot as well as a sweet jumping shot!  We always aim to have a very relaxed and fun time during your wedding day photos with you.  The last thing we ever want is for a bride and groom to be stressed out.

Jason and Shali’s CineArt Wedding Film- Las Vegas Wedding Videographer

Lisa Trash the Dress8 copy

I wanted to share Jason and Shali’s CineArt Wedding Film that we created.  They were married at the beautiful Griffin Mansions September 16, 2011.  We had such a great time with these guys and their peeps.  It’s always great when work can be this much fun!  Check it out!

Shali and Jason’s Trash The Dress Session

We filmed Jason and Shali’s Wedding back on September 16th at the beautiful Griffin Mansion and I was thrilled when they wanted to plan a Trash the Dress Session!  I met up with them and their photographer to create an awesome video out at Spring Mountain Ranch and then headed over to Calico Basin.  While I am still editing the video I just wanted to show some stills that I took from their Trash the Dress film!  I am photographer primarily but normally shoot video as a second for Jamison when needed so it was fun for me to put everything into motion without him there.   Film to come soon!

Las Vegas Photography Headshots- Dahrin

We met up with Dahrin this past weekend out at Lake Las Vegas for his photo session.  We were taking some new headshots for him.  Dahrin has always been someone that shy’s away from the camera so it was about time that he got some professional portraits taken.  I had so many favorites but here are a few.

Las Vegas Wedding- Michael and Carina

What a pleasure it was for the Moxie crew to be the ones to capture Mike and Carina’s wedding day at the beautiful Angel Park Golf Club!  I can not say enough wonderful things about these two love birds.  From our first consultation we hit it off and I knew we would be a great fit for Mike and Carina.  We had loads of fun with everyone before the wedding, felt the love during the ceremony and partied like rockstars afterwords, lol.  I always have such a difficult time choosing images to showcase so…  I decided to highlight the gals, guys and ceremony  :)

Las Vegas Trash the Dress Session- Mike and Carina

I was thrilled when Mike and Carina decided to do a Trash the Dress session the day after their wedding.  These session are always so much fun and everyone is much more relaxed then on the wedding day.  They wanted to go up to Spring Mountain Ranch State Park for their photo session.  After such an amazing wedding with Carina and Mike the day before Jamison decided to come along and create a film for them as well.  The mood was set with a fall storm that came through and let up just enough for us to get our shots and just as we were headed to our last stop the storm rolled in again and we all made a quick dash for the car. Thank you guys for being troopers and Carina for doing a bit of hiking in your wedding dress, lol.  I hope you both love the images as much as I do!

Springs Preserve Wedding-Jen and Antonio

I was lucky enough this past weekend to second shoot for Fogarty Foto at the beautiful Springs Preserve in Las Vegas. I have never actually photographed a wedding there and it was just beautiful.  I got to hang out with Antonio and his best man Frank before the festivities began.
The weather was a little questionable and as the ceremony took place a few ominous clouds rolled in and made a some rolling thunder
and as luck would have it just as soon as they tied the knot and walked away a nice refreshing sprinkle of rain and a beautiful rainbow!
Here are a few of my favorite images from Jen and Antonio’s Springs Preserve Wedding.
